My nuraphone headphones have been experiencing intermittent audio dropouts lately, caused by fatigue of the wires connecting to the in-ear component. To address this, I carefully removed the existing epoxy securing these wires, stripped back the insulation, and reconnected them. Using some glue I had already (Loctite Extreme Glue, which offers some flexibility after setting), I positioned the wires at a slight angle, similar to their original placement. Knowing the right-angle bend is the point of failure, I encased a portion of this bend in glue to reduce stress on the exposed wire. This seems to have fixed the issue, short-term.

With regards to the connector, red, green and blue wires go to the internal microphone. I assume this is balanced audio, therefore the three wires. The yellow and black wires are specifically for the speaker. The other two microphones use a two wire digital interface (GND, DATA, CLK, VCC). To open the headphones, twist the cup anticlockwise. It’ll detach from the aluminium part. Open it slowly to avoid ripping off the connectors. I suggest using a fine tool to disconnect the connectors.
